Associate Director - Immunology Competitive Intelligence
Immunology Competitive Intelligence Associate Director
Under the supervision of Executive Director, the individual will be responsible for providing Competitive Intelligence (CI) leadership rooted in deep understanding of the external healthcare environment and our Company's internal business, with a focus on Immunology, specifically inflammatory diseases and other related indications .
Partnering with key stakeholders, individual will benchmark competitor clinical data, business models and capabilities to develop insights and recommendations that will help enhance global and regional strategy.

The individual will proactively facilitate the identification and prioritization of intelligence efforts critical to strategic planning and execution for key stakeholders and will provide direction for the design and refinement of intelligence plans.
The individual will perform these functions mostly independently and with a high level of achievement.
Primary accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure effective utilization of business and competitive intelligence, across relevant divisions and functions, to provide:
- unbiased and fact-based competitive insights,
- benchmarking, and recommendations regarding commercialization strategies,
- portfolio prioritization and sourcing,
- clinical development/research strategies,
- and Business Development opportunities.
- Leverage scientific acumen to partner with discovery and clinical colleagues in shaping research programs.
- Lead team analysis and/or independently perform strategic assessments of select competitor activities, including (but not limited to): market situation analysis, strategic forecasting, strategic and operational benchmarking and articulation of implications.
- Globally monitor and benchmark strategic plans and insights on key developments of our Company competitors to provide early warning for potential threats and opportunities for successful implementation to prioritized strategic initiatives and tactical plans for our Company's portfolio.
- Maintain comprehensive and current understanding of relevant healthcare environment matters including emerging therapies, diagnostics/biomarkers, health technology assessment and market access to identify key issues relevant to strategic planning initiatives at the global level.
- Support the design and execution of competitive planning initiatives (e.g., competitive simulations) for products subject to significant competitive events.
- Ensure the effective implementation and integrity of all competitive and business intelligence activities such as primary research, and other intelligence gathering and analysis projects through timely and appropriate coordination with stakeholders and external vendors.
- Rigorously apply the Company's standard of ethics and policy for intelligence gathering.
- Proactively communicate and facilitate discussions with stakeholders and technical personnel to ensure that these ethical and legal standards are well integrated into all competitive intelligence activities.
Position Qualifications:
Education Minimum Requirement:
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, MD, PhD or equivalent) required.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry with a minimum of 3 years in scientific research.
- Strong scientific understanding of cross-therapeutic area biology, including immunology.
- Broad understanding of global pharmaceutical and biotech industries with in-depth knowledge of drug discovery and development processes.
- Superior stakeholder management skills and expert team player.
- Demonstrated leadership, influencing skills, creativity, problem solving and ability to manage complexity in addressing issues within our Company and with outside parties.
- Ability to build and manage collaborative relationships at all levels inside and outside of the organization, specifically with senior management.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. Under New York State, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
$135,500.00 - $213,400.00
