What will you be doing?
The Solution Architect identifies, shapes, and closes new business opportunities by leveraging competitive intelligence, business requirements, cost estimates, and solution options across business and technology services and industries. They decide which technologies and capabilities are best suited to a client's needs, based on deep conversation. The Solution Architect is responsible for building a collaborative approach across sales and delivery teams. They drive alignment to structure deals and drive the best outcome for the customer, WWT, and our partners. By leveraging their expertise, Solution Architects mitigate risks, articulate the inherent value of WWT services, and fortify client relationships. They work closely with clients, project managers, and delivery teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Work is accomplished with moderate supervision. Follows established and detailed directions. Work is reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy. Up to 25% travel.
As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for leading and managing the entire Automation Solutions pipeline. This includes driving opportunities forward, collaborating with cross-functional teams and sales, and ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting. You will serve as the primary authority on pipeline health and business performance. In addition to individual contributions to new business pursuits, you will also oversee the pipeline management process, fostering efficiency and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Solutioning & Collaboration
- Spearhead the strategic design of innovative solutions by leveraging deep knowledge of the evolving technology landscape and maximizing internal WWT capabilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, adeptly understanding their unique needs and crafting tailored recommendations that drive value and foster long-term partnerships
- Champion the integration of WWT's diverse portfolio of offerings, introducing and promoting cross-business services to enrich client engagements and expand WWT's market presence
- Collaborate closely with WWT account teams to align sales and support efforts, driving cohesive and effective engagement strategies
- Build productive solution development teams, leveraging junior team members to support their growth and development
- Support the evaluation and establishment of project scope, value assessments, and build plans for execution.
- Identifies, assesses and supports solution design for defined client business problems for area of responsibility.
- Conduct technology assessment and technology strategy to support future business needs
- Help define and quantify the value of a transformation, and how to measure and track success, including defining business case and strategy/approach.
- Creation of collateral supporting solution offering including client proposals, level of efforts/pricing, statements of work and business impact summaries.
Delivery Alignment
- Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to develop and execute targeted expansion strategies.
- Measure and track customer satisfaction, retention, and expansion metrics.
Pursuit & Pipeline Management
- Develop and implement effective funnel management strategies to increase pipeline velocity and conversion rates.
- Centralize opportunity information, track key metrics, and provide regular updates to Solution leadership.
- Leverage data and analytics to identify trends, optimize sales processes, and inform decision-making.
- Qualify incoming leads and opportunities to ensure alignment with target customer profile and business objectives.
- Triage opportunities across cross-functional teams to drive opportunities forward.
Continuous Learning
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by exploring new tools, technologies, and processes.
- Serves as a resource for the team on industry trends, sales methodologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in system architecture, computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
- 5 - 7 years of experience in customer engagement, solution design, or technology delivery, leadership experience preferred
- Ability to ask the right questions to understand the business problem and identify the measurement or business object.
- A deep understanding of the sales process and customer lifecycle.
- Proven track record in funnel management, opportunity qualification, and sales process optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills; ability to communicate with all levels of management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to generate creative solutions to difficult or ambiguous problems in a group setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and business visualization skills
