The Role
The CIO Compliance Execution Leader at Kyndryl is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the effective management of compliance activities across the CIO organization, with a specific focus on Run & Operate functions. This leader will bring expertise in controller functions, operations, and execution, driving adherence to regulatory standards, internal policies, and best practices within the IT environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Compliance Management: Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive compliance programs tailored to the needs of the Run & Operate functions within the CIO organization.
- Policy Execution: Lead the execution of IT compliance policies, procedures, and controls, ensuring they are embedded into the daily operations and practices of the CIO organization.
- Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement in operational processes, ensuring that compliance requirements are met without compromising efficiency or performance in Run & Operate activities.
- Controller Functions: Oversee the controller functions, ensuring accurate and compliant financial and operational reporting. Develop strategies to mitigate compliance risks related to financial controls and IT operations.
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments focused on Run & Operate activities, identifying potential areas of non-compliance or operational risk, and implement corrective actions.
- Audit & Assurance: Coordinate internal and external audits related to Run & Operate compliance. Ensure timely resolution of audit findings and continuous monitoring of compliance gaps.
- Execution Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in executing compliance initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Incident Management: Manage compliance-related incidents in Run & Operate functions, including investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including finance, legal, IT operations, and security teams, to ensure a holistic approach to compliance across Run & Operate functions.
- Reporting & Communication: Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports on compliance status, risks, and improvements to senior leadership, highlighting key operational insights.
- Training & Development: Develop and deliver targeted training programs to enhance compliance awareness and competence within the Run & Operate teams.

Required Skills and Experience
- 8-10 years of experience in IT compliance, risk management, or operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Extensive experience in controller functions, financial reporting, and IT operations, particularly in Run & Operate environments.
- Proven track record of executing compliance programs in large, complex organizations.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CPA) is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL) and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOX).
- Strong operational management skills, with a focus on efficiency and process improvement.
- Exceptional leadership and project management capabilities, with a history of leading successful compliance and operational initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and mitigate compliance risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
