The Domain Architect may be assigned to lead customer-facing services projects of varying size and complexity that will often include the development of project deliverables (examples include plans, strategies, designs, assessments, and business case analyses). When the Domain Architect is designated the Solution / Technical leader, they will combine with PMO leadership to form the "Two in the Box" model, a vital part of WWTs approach to driving successful project outcomes.

As a Domain Architect, you will collaborate with our Principal architects, Engineers, and Principal consultants to understand our clients' needs. You will also work with our customers' planning/engineering teams to design, influence, and drive the deployment and integration/migration strategy of Cisco solutions.
You should have the necessary skills to deliver Cisco technology solutions on service engagements in the enablement of our customer's programs and outcomes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Domain Architect Role:
Responsibilities:
- The Domain Architect understands all client scopes and objectives. They will be the one solution / technical voice facing the client externally and the escalation point internally for WWT employees, Partners, and Contractors.
- Leads and incubates new end-to-end services around products and solutions.
- To support the service delivery and network solution design, and implementation.
- Function as a subject matter expert (SME) for customer technical staff regarding proposed solutions and their design, configuration, implementation, and testing specifics.
- Performs all phases of project delivery including plan, design, network staging, implementation, migration, testing, handover, etc.
- Provide technical expertise on Cisco DC ACI and Routing/Switching designated solution focus areas.
- Lead technical, planning, and designing solutions for complex multi-vendor solutions (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point, FortiGate, Load Balancers, etc.
- Conduct customer-facing presentations on our core competencies and technical solution offerings for assigned accounts and focus areas.
- The Domain Architect will partner with the PMO counterpart to resolve Risks and Issues upon identification.
- The Domain Architect is accountable for resolving technical Risks and Issues in their project using their background and the array of resources available within WWT.
- The Domain Architect holds staff, contractors, and partners responsible for ensuring that The WWT best practices and templates are followed and delivered to the customer.
- The Domain Architect will review deployment documents, technical assessments, and other technical outputs to ensure a correct and consistent tone is delivered as defined by "One Voice."
Project/Program Support:
- Create High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation
- Create change/cut window Method of Procedure (MOP) documentation
- Preform advanced engineering services in support of the engineering delivery team when necessary
- Build and maintain strong relationships with delivery management, project management, and engineering teams nationally.
- Actively participate and support delivery engineers throughout all phases of a project including Project Launch Workshops, Kickoff calls, lessons learned, etc.
- Review client deliverables to identify opportunities to improve quality through training, mentoring, product offering improvement, and talent acquisition.
- Provide QA, escalation support, and mentoring for delivery teams.
- Development of implementation and backout plans.
- Interview delivery engineering candidates to determine proper technical and personality fit based on the project and customer's specific needs.
- Ensure standards and delivery methodologies are being followed and appropriate internal and/or partner resources are available to meet the project's current and future demands.
- Over 10+ years' experience in related technology.
- Expertise in Enterprise & Data Center networking technologies.
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, architecture, and BGP/OSPF.
- Designing and deployment experience of Cisco ACI / VXLAN / DCI / DC Virtualization / WAN/LAN Networking / Software Defined Access / Cisco SD-WAN technology domain
- Proficient in working with Cisco ISE, Radius Servers, and Security Platforms.
- Design and deployment experience of end-to-end Enterprise Routing & Switching Network
- Experience in designing Wireless network infrastructure (Cisco, Aruba, etc.) including Wireless LAN Controllers (WLAN), access points (AP), and antennas
- Expertise on the latest Cisco hardware and operating systems (Catalyst, NX-OS, IOS/IOS-XE)
- Hands-on experience designing and operating Cisco hardware, including Nexus 9000/7000/5000, ISR/ASR routers, and Enterprise switches.
- Virtualization technologies, both networking (VRF, VDC) and understanding of computing (Linux, VMware, OpenStack).
- Technologies: LAN Switching, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, IP/MPLS, QOS, Multicast, Layer2/3 VPNs, VPLS, VPRN on a hybrid network comprising of Cisco and competitive platforms.
- Ability to develop comprehensive solution architecture/design and detailed line-item configurations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) Mandatory.
