Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer to join our Evidence Based Control Evaluation (EBCE) Analytics and Tools Team.

We evaluate whether controls are well-designed and operating effectively. Our approach is tailored based on Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) data, and it supports proactive risk management in alignment with the Risk Management Framework. We perform evidence-based controls evaluations and document our outcomes based on applicable policies and standards.

This individual will have four primary responsibilities to support the Global EBCE team: analyze complex data and present findings to senior leaders; lead strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges that require solid analytical skills with extensive knowledge of business execution; deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and require vision, innovation, and coordination of highly complex activities; and provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that align to the enterprise. All four responsibilities will require partnering with executive management across EBCE and the supported businesses and organizations.

In this role, you will:
  • Assist with capacity planning routines for the organization, including owning and managing key assumptions for control forecasting, developing, performing, and analyzing scenario analysis for how key program decisions will impact capacity needs, and working with business leads to manage control volumes and subsequent capacity needs.
  • Analyze large and complex data sets, performing aggregation of data, and other key Excel-based processes to produce data and outputs to support key programmatic decisions (e.g., identify missing values, anomaly checks, lookups).
  • Produce ad hoc reports and data requests to support leadership decision making and requests from regulators, audit, and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop executive level presentations, executive summaries, and steering committee decks for both the EBCE Testing Organization and the Control Management leadership team. Effectively deliver key messages to business and operations senior leadership.
  • Create new and enhance existing processes within the EBCE testing organization by implementing workflows and automated analysis and reporting where feasible. Develop and document business management routines procedures where needed.
  • Navigate senior levels of the organization and utilize relationships to build consensus and alignment.
  • Employs an insight-driven mindset using hypothesis testing to support strategic decision-making Adjust and adapt to the rolling, day-to-day changes that transpire in the running of Programs/initiatives/business routines.
  • Provide vision, leadership, and industry knowledge significantly influencing the company's approach to execution of change.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Risk Management or Financial Services Industry experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint skills), with a strong focus on data analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to summarize through Excel and create executive-level presentations through PowerPoint
  • Extensive experience presenting information that persuades and enhances understanding at all levels
  • Experience building strong relationships and collaborating across large organizations
Desired Qualifications:
  • Ability to analyze data and identify anomalies
  • Ability to interpret data and drive executive presentation of the data to highlight key themes
  • Control evaluation/testing and/or audit experience
  • Strong experience partnering with senior-level executives across a large, matrixed organization.
  • Extensive experience to drive problem solving for complex questions (e.g., develop hypothesis, structure problem, drive analyses, and design solutions)
  • Ability to lead team(s) across all organizational levels; partnering with business leaders to achieve key goals through flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability to lead in a fast paced, high demand environment
  • Coding/automation skills, such as, SAS, Python, VBA, PowerQuery, Pivot Tables, dashboarding

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$111,100.00 - $237,100.00
