The role
ShiftKey SaaS is a workforce management platform that helps post-acute healthcare facilities improve their staffing models. Our goal is to enhance staff morale, deliver better patient care, and achieve better financial results.
As the Product Manager for SAMI, you'll work closely with thousands of healthcare clients to understand and meet their needs for nurses and care providers. Your role will involve integrating our top workforce scheduling system with the largest provider marketplace. You will lead the Product Trio - a team that includes a Product Manager, Engineering Lead, and Designer - to ensure we continuously discover customer needs, prioritize tasks, and deliver effective solutions. The SAMI team is a large and crucial part of our company's growth.
This position requires experience with cloud-based software and a focus on healthcare. You'll guide efforts to provide our customers with valuable insights that help them make the best staffing decisions.
Where you'll work
You must be located in the US to be considered for this position. You'll have the flexibility to choose between remote work (State permitting) or working from our office in Dallas or Austin.
What you'll be doing
- Working closely with a product trio (product manager, engineering manager, and designer) to define meaningful outcomes for a product squad and build an opportunity solution tree that reflects our knowledge and priorities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the relevance of analytical tools and insights to all aspects of workforce management.
- Setting and evangelizing a development roadmap for features within your scope of responsibility, with some direction.
- Deeply understanding our customer needs and prioritizing opportunities that will give us the biggest bang for our product development buck.
- Partnering with design to test and validate concepts with customers and learn quickly.
- Thriving in an environment of fast feedback loops and an attitude of rapid iterations.
- Running beta and pilot programs with customers as appropriate.
- Driving validated items from discovery through delivery and into the customer's hands with an engineering squad.
- Ensuring excellent team dynamics, performance, growth, and enthusiasm among team members.
What you'll need
- 10 years of experience in the software development space (e.g., as an engineer, designer, or data analyst), including a minimum of 5 years in a direct product management role.
- Experience as a Product Manager within a SaaS-based company, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the software development life cycle for software products.
- Demonstrated understanding of modern product discovery and delivery techniques and methods.
- Ability to understand and work across multiple business areas, such as engineering, design, finance, sales, and marketing.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex issues with many constraints, assess risks, and present well-structured, data-informed arguments.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis to inform decisions, with strong SQL skills preferred.
- Proven ability to work constructively and collaboratively with product teams, designers, and company leaders.
