- Build and oversee all activities from all functions involved to provide feedback and resolve complex problems
- Keep senior management informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations. Leaning in to tackle and resolve barriers to achieving our strategic goals. These difficult challenges require integrative, connected and deep thinking leveraging in-depth knowledge of the organization, engaging with subject matter experts, and bringing in new approaches to find creative solutions.
- Communicating strategy effectively throughout the company at various forums and supporting functional teams to align outcomes to corporate strategy
- Collaborating with and influencing key stakeholders on key problem areas to enable and ensure cross-functional focus and alignment.
- Identifying areas of misalignment to the strategy and supporting with remedial actions.
- Discover ways to enhance efficiency and productivity of procedures and people
- Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies
- Responsible for developing, maintaining and leading processes for problem definition, ideation, opportunity evaluation, risk assessment/management, prioritization, prototyping, rapid iteration, feedback loops, and decision frameworks.
- Lead and/or engage with teams developing innovations for new products, services, business models, or drug development capabilities.
- Establish, maintain and build excellent collaborative business relationships with CLS EC members, the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and key stakeholders across the organization.
- Build and present robust business cases, financial analyses, and risk management strategies to stakeholders in the business. Serve in a leadership capacity to raise the profile of CLS through attendance and active participation at life science partnering conventions.
- Liaise with appropriate internal and external consultants to promote and maximize CLS capabilities. Assist with identifying collaboration partners to achieve CLS goals.
- Ensure clients and client-facing teams are kept current on CLS assigned programs as appropriate. Work with the commercial, marketing, and communications teams to create compelling value propositions and messaging.
- Analyze platforms, systems, processes, for current and future capacity needs, bring forth proposals for consideration, and work with the business to vet and establish how or what can be brought forth.

Program Directors are the most successful at Labcorp with:
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in an appropriate scientific, business development, marketing, economics, informatics, or engineering discipline; additional advanced degree is in business, technology or science preferred. MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as program director or other managerial position in a relevant drug development role in a pharmaceutical company/CRO/biotech company, with at least 4 years of experience of direct interaction with senior/executive level decision makers.
- Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
- Excellent communication skills: strong presentation, writing and analytical skills with experience in engaging with Executives at senior levels in client organizations.
- Strong networking capabilities and an ability/willingness to work with international teams.
- Demonstrated ability to get work done through influencing others
- Ability to work independently and to handle multiple competing priorities effectively
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proven interpersonal skills
- An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities

Pay Range: $180,000 - $200,000 base salary
