Description
Leidos is seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated Senior Cloud Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead our cloud strategy and initiatives. This role involves providing technical leadership, advising on best practices, and serving as the go-to expert for cloud technologies within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud architecture, deployment models, and emerging trends, with a proven track record of successfully implementing cloud solutions. The candidate will be expected to understand and work within the CMS Hybrid Cloud Hosting ecosystem, support and refine its service delivery processes, and comply with all underlying security guidelines and requirements.
Your goal will be to work with all stakeholders to help Leidos ensure delivery of high-quality, robust, and scalable solutions with minimal business impact. Lastly and most importantly, you will represent the IUSG Front Office, Managed Infrastructure Service Provider (MiSP), and CMS' various Product Owners when meeting with the Application Development Organizations (ADO). You will help coordinate the identification of opportunities to provide support, modernization, innovation, and other opportunities for their application.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Cloud Leadership:
• Develop and drive the organization's cloud strategy, ensuring alignment with the customer's business goals and objectives.
• As a thought leader, you will help influence the shaping and refinement of cloud managed services, hybrid cloud solutions, and collaborate with customer and internal leadership teams, application development organizations (ADO), business owners, and peer vendors within the customer support framework.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and trends to recommend innovative solutions that enhance the program's capabilities and service offerings.
• Support a culture of customer centric support, SRE practice, and accountability.
2. Technical Expertise:
• Serve as the subject matter expert on cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and others.
• Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud architectures and solutions.
3. Advisory and Consulting:
• Provide expert advice and guidance to internal teams and stakeholders on cloud best practices, cost optimization, and risk management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing systems and processes.
4. Project Management:
• Lead and manage cloud-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Develop project plans, budgets, and resource allocation strategies for cloud initiatives.
5. Security and Compliance:
• Ensure cloud solutions comply with industry standards and regulations, implementing security measures to protect data and applications.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
6. Training and Mentorship:
• Mentor and train team members and junior staff on cloud technologies and practices.
• Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the organization's cloud knowledge and capabilities.
7. Collaboration and Communication:
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
• Prepare and present reports, proposals, and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Coordinate Escalations on behalf of CMS IUSG's Shared Service Providers and O&M Teams.
• Apply Product Management principles to develop, maintain, optimize, and evangelize various products across the CMS ecosystem.
• Maintain domain knowledge expertise in cloud operations and DevOps best practices.
• Influence development of solutions that impact strategic project/program goals and business results while also leading work of other technical staff.
• Resolve highly complex problems using significant application of technical knowledge, conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• 12+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on cloud technologies and solutions.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and data management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proven leadership and project management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Cloud certification(s) such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
• Experience in DevOps, automation, and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
• Agile-based knowledge and skill, including experience with Scrum Ceremonies and work management tools (e.g., (JIRA, Confluence).
Required Clearance:
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• All candidates supporting the CMS programs must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years prior to be considered.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
