Job Description
As our next Business Development Executive, you will be passionate about Drug Products and will have a multifaceted role in our organization. You will drive sales revenue growth through the development and implementation of strategies to generate sales from new and existing accounts as well as will build an internal network that enables client success. The candidate will be responsible for prospecting and identifying new target clients and target molecules and following through on leads from a variety of sources. The key focus of the role, will be driving unidentified new business for growing our market share in territory for our services (process development and cGMP clinical and commercial manufacturing services). Your clients will be a mix of small startup biotechs through large pharma.

The successful candidate has the skills to establish relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, influencing future strategic direction and developing strategic relationships with Biotech and Pharma customers. Additionally, you will build connections with cross-divisional sales and business units within Thermo Fisher Scientific to ensure an aligned approach to customers.
This is a field-based role with responsibilities for customers in North America. Regular travel will be required - up to 50%, including frequent overnight stays. When you are not travelling, you will be able to work from home. Ideal candidates would be based in Southeast Coast within the territory, ideally close to an international airport, but is not an absolute necessity.
What will you do?
New Business Development including identifying new molecule opportunities with new or existing clients through understanding of the market, appointment based strategic selling, using personal network, interaction with other PSG and Thermo Fisher teams and following up on leads. Crafting and implementing sales programs for new prospective clients to increase awareness of our service offering and key differentiators from our competition. Analyze and understand funding mechanisms and sources and flow of funding for the small emerging biotech element of the territory. Attend tradeshows/ conferences/ seminars to increase awareness of our broader capabilities and as a source of lead generation. Identify and communicate our value proposition, including opportunities for strategic bundling of our services. Own the ongoing relationship with existing clients. Enable winning quotations and have a key role to play in the contract negotiation phase. Handle, update, maintain and record all relevant activities in the SFDC database, and share information and background on prospective clients within the territory to our partners.
Who we are looking for:
3+ years of demonstrated ability working within Sterile Fill Finish is helpful Bachelors graduation required. Background in Science preferred.
3+ years of CDMO experience, with understanding of product development and commercialization of Sterile Dosage forms.
Professional background in sales or business development within Drug Product. Professional presentation skills and ability to network within senior management ranks. Familiarity working within a matrix environment, both with clients and internally.
Multifaceted and highly self-motivated individual, with outstanding interpersonal skills.
Ability to establish a functional, home office environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Proficiency or proven understanding of SalesForce.com is highly desirable Willing and able to travel up to 50% of working time within territory, including regular overnight stays. Valid driving license.
Proficient in English.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in North Carolina is $116,300.00-$174,000.00.
