Gannett seeks an accomplished, results-oriented Sr. Director of Subscription Pricing Strategy to join our Consumer Growth & Monetization team. In this dynamic role, you will be key to driving transformation through your expertise in subscription pricing optimization. This role will have a pulse on industry trends and performances, observe data, and test different hypotheses to determine the best direction for Gannett's consumer subscription pricing to grow overall revenue, ARPU, and subscriber volume. This position requires a strong analytical mind with mathematical abilities, who can problem-solve, and ensure execution of price-related projects by utilizing superior communication skills.

Base Salary: $150,000 to $175,000

Responsibilities

  • Ability to identify and transform customer value into a pricing strategy supported by pricing structures and operations.


  • Develop pricing strategy for individual products and product bundles that align with our goals.


  • Develop a strategic plan for optimizing subscription pricing, maximizing revenue, and volume growth at a market level.


  • Identify the key metrics that should be used to make informed decisions and coordinate the development of analytical tools that can support decision-making.


  • Analyze every measure of pricing from current revenue performance, and new subscription rates, to increased pricing expectations, and retention pricing optimization.


  • Work with various teams to model and test pricing hypotheses.


  • Create roadmaps for execution.


  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure alignment and integration of business strategies with broader marketing and business objectives.


  • Identify what is not working and identify solutions.

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field.


  • At least 10 years of experience in the areas of pricing analysis, and senior finance analyst.


  • Significant experience in subscription pricing.


  • Strong problem-solving skills.


  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies for reoccurring revenue, driving measurable results and ROI.


  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights to inform decision-making.


  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and strategies to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.


  • Proficiency in digital marketing analytics tools and platforms including Google Looker Studio, Funnel.io, GA4, and related tools.

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $103,500 and $213,000. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications, and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable.
