DESCRIPTION

Do you want to play an instrumental role in bringing leading diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) strategies to Amazon's high growth environment? The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team supporting Amazon's Advertising, Media, and IMDb (AMI) businesses is seeking an experienced Sr. Communications lead to build and drive the organizational DEI communications strategy. You will design both high touch engagement solutions and cross-platform campaigns, in close collaboration with Amazon's Public Relations, Employer Brand, and Internal Communications teams.

You will engage employees by highlighting authentic stories and communicating the unique backgrounds and perspectives that will amplify our position and investment in DEI across employee touchpoints (internal website, eNewsletter, learning eSeries, internal campaigns, etc.). You will be responsible for creating and implementing a plan to more effectively engage employees in building an inclusive environment on their teams and in sharing effective updates on current DEI efforts and outcomes. In doing so, you will equip a network of our employees and bring their unique backgrounds and perspectives to amplify our employer brand across a variety of touchpoints.

Successful applicants will have experience designing and delivering innovative DEI marketing and communications programs, assessing performance, and communicating results. You should not only be passionate about delivering world-class DEI campaigns, but obsessed with driving meaningful results that ultimately impact our customers and elevate inclusivity within our group of Amazon business teams.

In this role, you will:
• Design and execute the organizational marketing and communications strategy in close collaboration with the Public Relations, Brand, Legal, and Internal Communications teams
• Acts
• Define key messages, talking points, and branding based upon the ABDP DEI plan
• Define organizational key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and effectiveness of the marketing and communications strategy
• Act as a DEI subject matter advisor to integrate DEI content across ABDPs' internal and external marketing and communications materials
• Build a scalable strategy for high touch communications/engagement mechanisms (e.g., eSeries, digital newsletter)
• Project manage and influence cross functional working teams, including PR, Legal, and Internal Comms partners, to launch on-time, effective content
• Define and report on marketing and communications outcomes as a result of the programs you are driving
• Build all messaging through a culturally competent lens, proactively identifying opportunities to reflect inclusive language.
• Influence others and be proactive in identifying risks/issues, providing solutions, resolving risks/issues, and overcoming hurdles to drive results

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of progressive prior work and experience in marketing and communications role
• Experience crafting messaging and campaigns in the diversity, equity, and inclusion space
• Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment requiring strong multi-tasking abilities
• Experience demonstrating high judgment and working with confidential or highly sensitive subject matter
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive them to completion using project/program management tools
• Excellent written, verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree of equivalent experience
• Understanding of DEI analytics, specifically inclusion or engagement analytics
• Experience leading experiential DEI education or awareness strategies
• Ability to influence without direct authority
