The WW Social Media Specialist will have deep understanding of the different behaviors and paid media opportunities across all social media platforms globally. As an authority on best practices, this role will directly impact how Apple shows up in social environments. Success in the role requires that you have strong collaboration skills and can work cross functionally across the media, ad, social, creative and geo teams. As a strong and collaborative partner to our WW media agency, following through with KPI's and reporting will ensure that learnings and optimizations are properly socialized. Description

Primary day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to: leading Marcom in our paid approach to social media which includes influencers, creators, emerging behaviors and handling launches. Collaborating cross-functionally with various partners in strategic and tactical approaches to all platforms globally. Accountability for staying on top of any new buying approaches, ad opportunities or emerging behaviors in the social landscape. Partnering closely with the Data Science team in measurement frameworks and reporting cadence, and having the knowledge/capability to adapt/adjust the strategy based on learnings and best practices. Influential in the social space, getting collaborators on board with ideas and expertly leading this unique function within a lean media team.
  • 10+ years of experience in digital and social media with significant time spent at a media/social media agency
  • Documented expertise on social media behaviors, paid media opportunities, and best practices
  • Experience with social media reporting in order to accurately validate measurement and success
  • Vendor management experience (influencing without authority), ideally leading vendors to think creatively and strive for success
  • Digital tech and data/privacy parameters knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

  • Keen understanding of the various media channels, campaign KPIs and buying documentation
  • Record of building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. Ideally, able to present a POV while crediting others for their contributions and accomplishments
  • Cultivating innovation at every turn, creating new and better ways for the organization to be successful
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for social media and innovative routes to market. Entrepreneurial and confident in your decisions
  • Global social media experience
  • Ability to move swiftly and put learnings into action while seeing the big picture. Imagining future scenarios, and creating strategies to sustain competitive advantage
  • A multi-tasker who can balance multiple initiatives at once with the ability to prioritize opportunities with true ROI

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $179,000 and $269,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
