Strategic Controller act as a business partner to global business controller to develop a global business model and optimize financial performance within an assigned Business Unit across Countries and Regions. Support effective business decisions by monitoring, analysing, and interpreting financial data in order to evaluate various business alternatives and recommend the most appropriate business solutions. Drive definition and implementation of global standards and business specific guidelines in financial control processes. Reporting line: BU CFO
Your responsibilities:
- Contribute to the definition of the strategy for the business unit. Serves as the key partner for the relevant business leaders in determining strategy for their area of responsibility and developing a global business model, aligning with wider strategy, implementing, and making adjustments in implementation as needed.
- Defines strategic actions including financial impact, translates strategy into business plans and establishes measurable longer term targets. Evaluates financial implications of various strategic decisions, builds scenarios and recommends actions
- Evaluates and follows-up on strategic investment/divestment, M&A deals, global footprint decisions and restructuring projects
- Monitors performance of complete GPG portfolio (by Product lines) incl. product launches; Defines & executes benchmarks for measuring the product-line performance across local factories and supports implementation of best practices.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or other relevant business degree
- Minimum 10 years' experience of progressive growth in financial controller related roles at the manufacturing plant level
- Ability to gather and analyse information skilfully and develop alternative solutions and work well under pressure
- Ability to respond positively to new challenges, and meet deadlines and commitments
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience with process capability, statistical process control, and strong project management skills (nice to have)
- Must have a sense of urgency for change and improvement, and a balanced approach to risk taking and achieving results
- Must have outstanding communication skills, including executive presentation skills, able to inspire trust and quickly build credibility
- Fluent in English, other languages are an added advantage.
