Your future team
We are seeking a Head of Program Management to lead the Lighthouse team within the CTO Strategic Initiatives org. This team plays a crucial role in workforce planning and management for R&D. In this role, you will drive business success by seamlessly integrating financial plans, business priorities, and workforce strategies into actionable operational plans.

Lighthouse is dedicated to executing workforce plans that align with strategies set by stakeholders, financial partners, and executive leadership. You will collaborate closely with a large cross-functional team to develop data-driven strategies that inform and report on these operational plans. Your responsibilities will include leading a team to develop processes and analytical models to manage our workforce effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical and analytical background.
What you'll do
- Lead a team of 6 people in developing analytical models, programs, and processes to shape our workforce strategy and ensure the successful execution of workforce plans.
- Collaborate with executive leaders to create a workforce strategy that aligns with our business priorities and drives organizational success.
- Conduct in-depth analyses to uncover root causes of workforce issues, providing actionable insights and recommendations for effective monitoring and resolution.
- Integrate qualitative findings with data analytics to deliver comprehensive recommendations that inform strategic decisions.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of our workforce planning initiatives and ensure continuous improvement.
- Provide regular updates and reports on workforce activities, including progress on hiring goals, geographic strategies, organizational design, and other critical areas.
- Present data and findings in clear and engaging ways, using data visualizations tailored for a diverse audience.
Your background
- 10+ years minimum of program management experience
- Proven people leader with track record of hiring, retaining, and growing teams
- Strong executive presence, able to influence senior leaders and set strategic direction as part of senior leadership team
- Demonstrated experience and success leading high impact, cross-functional programs
- Demonstrated ability to drive programs in fast-paced, highly ambiguous work environment where program models don't exist
- Experience using data to drive decision making
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including experience with facilitating meetings and engaging with an executive audience).
- Comfortable taking calculated risks and experimenting with new solutions
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable and explainable compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.
In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $221,500 - $295,300
Zone B: $199,400 - $265,800
Zone C: $183,900 - $245,100
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
