Gannett Media's Consumer Growth & Monetization team is looking for a Senior Manager to manage and exponentially grow the company's branded products and merchandise sales via direct and 3rd party eCommerce platforms. This role will oversee the DTC consumer merchandise efforts and have P&L responsibility for the channel. The Sr. Manager, eCommerce will be a crucial member of Gannett's consumer monetization team and will help shape the short- and long-term strategy for Gannett's eCommerce store (https://usatodaystore.com/) and 3rd party eCommerce sites across the US.
The position will report to the Sr. Director, Brand Marketing.
Base Salary: $115,000 - $135,000 annually

- Partner with the marketing and content teams to understand and influence short- and long-term eCommerce product and marketing strategy.
- Manage all merchandise and e-commerce daily operations, providing strategic direction in product strategy, social media, SEO, paid search, retailing, email, and content development.
- Manage the modernization of USA TODAY's eCommerce technology stack by providing strategic recommendations and project leadership during the transition.
- Communicate the eCommerce vision and strategic plan with executive leadership to strengthen the plan across the organization.
- Work with internal Gannett teams and third-party providers to develop and execute an omnichannel strategy for branded products and merchandise.
- Prioritize a blend of product, marketing, and technology projects associated with eCommerce to balance revenue and long-term vision.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyzing data and optimizing processes to increase revenue and drive growth.
- Partner with the creative team and various newsrooms to create compelling, on-brand merchandise.
- Develop and continuously improve the end-to-end consumer experience across our eCommerce digital channels to improve consumer engagement and ARPU.
- Research the market to discover new trends and technologies to improve store performance.
- Analyze store data to deliver data-driven strategies to increase performance and achieve KPIs.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Minimum 7-10 years experience in consumer brand eCommerce retail company
- Platform knowledge of industry-standard eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce and other similar platforms
- Bachelor's degree in digital marketing or related field.
- Knowledge of implementing digital marketing concepts such as PPC, SEO, social media, display, and affiliate channels.
- Confidence in developing and overseeing retail and eCommerce-focused digital marketing strategies.
- Excellent understanding of UX, web design, customer flow, and web analysis.
- Confidence in traffic analysis, reporting tools, and optimization leveraging Google Analytics.
- Knowledge of attribution modeling, website optimization, conversion management, sales journey optimization, traffic analysis, and reporting tools.
- A positive attitude and the ability to reframe challenges and feedback as opportunities and pivot accordingly.
- You harbor a learning mindset and critical thinking skills. Your curiosity and passions keep you updated on tools, practices, opportunities, and applications in eCommerce + brand merchandising, and appropriately apply that knowledge to develop marketing strategies.

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $68,400 and $140,000. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable.
